Blanshard At Johnson

Back in the late 1980's I lived in downtown Victoria, British Columbia. This time in my life holds many memories for me, especially the birth of my beautiful daughter, being a single dad and managing the Demitasse, a busy cafe a short walk away from my home.

Up at 5:00 a.m. to organize the day, my little girl to daycare and then on to the Demitasse.

This is the scene that greeted me every morning as I prepared for opening...painted as I remember it, with all the fond memories that it holds.
